Styles within Country Dancin' - In addition to most of the ballroom dances, there are some Partner dances that are considered specific to country dancing. These include Nightclub Two-step and Country Two-Step.

The traditional partner dances in country dancing are: Cha Cha, Waltz, Hustle, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing.

Line dancing has many flavors; typically in country dancing the lines of dances face one direction and repeat a choreographed routine throughout a specific song that the routine was designed to coordinate with. Sometimes, however, the lines face each other in a format we call contra line dancing and sometimes the lines form a circle.

Couples dancing is similar to line dancing in that the routines are choreographed ahead of time to a specific song, but as the name implies you are dancing with another person, not by yourself as you are in line dancing.
